A BEE CLOSE CORPORATION

Collington’s Jewellers cc, was established by two entrepreneurs, Peter Leopeng and Lawrence Steinfeld each own 50 % of the company, making Collington’s a fully-fledged BEE enterprise.

 The company is involved in jewellery manufacturing and diamond replacements, in addition to other services offered.

LAWRENCE STEINFELD, a diamond merchant and jeweller was educated in South Africa and trained as a diamond setter, first in South Africa and then spent four years in Hatton Garden in London, England. He returned to South Africa to start a very successful business with his father from 1969 to 1985. After the passing of his father, Lawrence started a jewellery manufacturing company employing ten people and introducing the training of apprentices in the jewellery industry. He was also Chairman of the South Africa Jewellers Association.

PETER LEOPENG has been involved in consulting for several years both locally and internationally.  He has an impressive academic background with extensive skills in business diagnostics and overall project management.  He has been involved in major organisations as a consultant, advising business executives to formulate and implement change strategies in their organisations. Lately he is involved in an extensive drive of energy conservation initiatives as a practitioner and consultant.
